Scissors Sisters Screening Oct. 10 2006

Last night, Cinespace hosted the screening of the Scissor Sisters Live from Trafalgar Square Concert. Prior to the screening, Virgin Megastore locations and Indie 103.1 participated in giving away screening passes to the event. We had a great response from the Virgin Sunset location and they ran out of passes a couple days before the screening. The night of the screening, I arrived to Cinespace and distributed the CD single and stickers on the tables, as well as merched the theater room. At about 7:45pm, fans had already lined up outside waiting for the place to open up. The bar was busy as the room filled up to about 75 people. We started the film at about 8:30 and the fans enjoyed the personalized Los Angeles introduction. The concert film was a big hit!! The audience applauded after each song, and even clapped along with the on screen crowd. There was even a group of people that got out of their seats and danced in the aisle during “I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’.” Our VIPs from Virgin Corporate, Andrew Gyger and Oren Tishman, really enjoyed the screening, as did Marc Loren the Virgin Sunset manager. Overall the screening was a successful event.
