Well they came from all over the globe to see one of the hottest British Bands to hit the states in years. The band I am referring to are the Kaiser Chiefs who just came from a stint at the ever popular Coachella on Sunday and Jay Leno the following day. Despite lead singer Ricky Wilson having a virus, the band turned in a 7 song- 30 minute set that included cuts “Ruby”, “Heat Dies Down” and “Angry Mob” from “Yours Truly, Angry Mob” along performing cuts from their current album. They also featured cuts from the “Employment” album nailing songs “I predict A Riot” and “Everyday I Love You Less and Less”.
Right after the set fans ran from the front of the stage to go stand in line to get their CD’s signed by the band. People from all over the world were line some from Germany, some from Japan and a whole lot from England and the States. Some fans from England mentioned they saw them walking on Hollywood Blvd and that was a big surprise for them, considering that they never got that close to them in England.
Around 9:30 PM the group came out of the dressing room to sign autographs under the Virgin tent which was set up towards the back of the Jimmy Kimmel parking lot. The band signed till everybody was gone which took approximately an hour which is not bad considering they signed for about 150 people. Now here are the stats that count; out of 150 people Virgin sold 75 copies of “Yours Truly, Angry Mob” and 15 copies of “Employment” which I think as well as Virgin was very impressive.
