Kate Havnevik packed out the Hotel Café in Hollywood to celebrate the release of her new record Melankton. KCRW was on hand and presented the show and helped merch the place with Kate posters and we put table tops announcing the release of the show on the bar and tables. The 150 plus crowd squeezed inside the venue before her 8’oclock set. The Hotel Café was the perfect spot for Kate and her band to showcase the songs and her voice. Some highlights include “Unlike Me,” “Nowhere Warm,” and “Kaleidoscope.” Virgin Megastore was on hand to sell at the venue and Kate was kind enough to hang out by the table to sign CDs. At the end of the evening, Virgin ended up selling 38 copies!!!
