Kaiser Chiefs returned to LA to play a sold out show at the Henry Fonda Theater last night in Hollywood. Fans that missed this band at Coachella were sure not to miss them last night as people started to line up outside the venue as early as 5PM. Kaisers took the stage just after 10 o’clock and got the crowd rockin’ early on as their hit single “Ruby” was performed early in their set. They continued the energy over the course of their 75 minute performance urging the crowd to singalong and clap along to the rhythm. Ricky was all over the stage bouncing around during the songs but keeping time with either a tambourine or cow bell in tow. The audience really reacted to “Heat Dies Down,” “I Predict A Riot” and chanted along during the end of “The Angry Mob.” At the show the audience good mix of young and old, college kids and hipsters, and of course the hardcore UK fans. One of the highlights for me was watching this young teenage boy’s mother rock out harder than her son during “Oh My God.” The woman even had one of the posters I had put up rolled up in her hand and was using it to play air drums! It was classic!
